Samsung is to stop producing netbooks

According to the quote from the letter which Samsung supposedly sent round by e-mail to its partners, the information source states that the South Korean electronic giant intends to curtail production of netbooks.

“Following our new strategy that is to be released in 2012, in the first quarter we are going to stop producing devices with 10,1 inches displays (netbooks) in favor of ultra portable notebooks (11,6 and 12 inches) and ultrabooks which are to be produced in 2012”, says the letter.

It should be noted that the bigger display may become almost the only distinction between "ultra portable notebooks" and netbooks that are to be based on the same platform as the lasts.
