Asus Eee PC 1018P - Interfaces and extension possibilities.

Despite rather high price, a dial-up of interfaces and extension possibilities of this netbook Asus Eee PC 1018P has only standard configuration.
On the left panel VGA output for connection to exterior monitor or a projector, port USB 2.0 and a slot for the locking safety (Kensington type), hindering device theft are available.
Here the ventilating grid through which hot air is blown out of case limits is also provided. By our estimations, the ventilating channel has turned out very small.
Contrary to the left side of the panel , the right panel differs with a big variety of ports and connectors.
Here are: cardreader( format "3-v-1") with support of memory cards SD, SDHC and MMC, which has become already customary, two audioconnectors – for earphones and microphone connection, two ports USB 2.0, a network connector RJ-45 (LAN) and a power connector where the network adapter is connected.
Pay attention to unusual design of LAN connector thanks to which the naetwork cable connector is allocated elegantly and is imperceptible at first sight. The frontal and back panels are free from interfaces.Standard cardreader.
Taking into account an accessible work space and design, layout of interfaces seems to be optimal.
There is enough free area around each connector, and the configuration is harmonically inscribed into the general netbook Asus Eee PC design .
Used dial-up of interfaces can be described as «standard for a netbook».
Joyful news is that Asus offers as well more perfect model Eee 1018PB costing about €430, equipped with two ports USB 3.0 allocated on the right panel, and a fingerprints scanner in the platform area for wrists. It is thought that in this case surcharge in €30 completely justifies itself.
- Frontal panel: free from connectors.
- Right panel: cardreader, a connector for earphones, a connector for microphone, 2 х USB 2.0, RJ-45, a power connector.
- Left panel: 1 х VGA, 1 х USB 2.0, a slot for the safety lock Kensington.
- Back panel: activity indicators, a 6-element accumulator.
